Wow. As I sit on the couch drinking my first cup of coffee, the view is amazing. This week we've traded the view of the walnut tree with its swing, the woods and green grass, with an occasional deer strolling by for water, water, water. and sand, sand, sand. All I can see out our windows is the Gulf....and I'm on the computer? (not for long!)
Yesterday we checked out of the hotel and into the condo. We spent some time at the beach in the morning before checking out of the hotel....enough time for the kids to ride some waves in on their boogie boards and for Michael to be stung by something! (he's okay, by the way) We drove to the Sandestin Resort and wow, what a place. All I can say is that the Lord is good to allow us to be here! We had to check in at the guard shack and all breathed a sigh of relief when the guard said "Your name is in my book". A little foretaste of Heaven! (Except I am certain that my name is in THAT book! Revelation 21)
We're on the 13th floor of a condo and have a wrap around view of the Gulf of Mexico. A quick elevator ride down will get us to the beach. The kids and Jim played a bit on the beach last night while I did the WalMart grocery run. Today we are going to have a little "church service" of our own and then enjoy the beach. What the kids don't know is that our friends, the Schultzes, will be arriving today around noon and will be spending the week here too! I hope to get some footage of the big surprise and if I do, I'll post it!
This is the day that the Lord has made, I will rejoice and be glad in it!
