Girls' Trip to Indiana

Sue and Sarah took a quick trip to Indiana this weekend. We arrived Thursday night and Jodi, Sully and Stephen Schwartz met us at the airport. Friday morning, after a delicious breakfast, (thanks Stephen!) we headed to Spencer's for the annual strawberry picking. 30 pounds of strawberries later and with a huge batch of rhubarb in tow, we made our way home to begin the Strawberry Rhubarb pie production line. It's become an annual tradition and since Sue is our photographer and her hands were in the berries, we have no pics of the activity, but lots of fun memories!

The Schwartzes were planning on delivering a crib to Brad & Laura's place Saturday, so we rode along! I think we even may have kept the visit a surprise. It was great to see Brad and Laura and their new homestead. Jodi was kind enough to run us by Grandma Fruth's place. We were able to visit with Grandma and Aunt Judy for a short while.

It was a special treat to be able to visit Colleen, Matt and Sarah Jacobs! Sarah is 2 weeks old and just perfect. It was a bittersweet thing to be able to hold her and at the same time realize that the next time we'll hold her she'll be so much bigger! What a blessing the Jacobs are to us!
